A: A full day can be up to 10 hours long, and a half day is 5 hours. If you're more than 20 minutes from Walnut Creek, drive time will be included in the day. Edit days are typically 6-7 hours. What's included is me and my basic gear package.

Q: What is in a basic gear package?
A: The basic gear package includes all the cameras, lighting, and sound gear needed to make high-quality videos or photos. This package is suited for relatively quiet places, smaller spaces, and interviews with up to two people. I use Canon, Sony, Black Magic, DJI, and GoPro cameras, along with a gimbal and a drone for camera movement, and an audio recorder for good sound. If more equipment is needed, we can borrow, rent, or buy it, which may increase the rate.
Q: Can't I just shoot video and photos with my cell phone?
A: Yes, modern cell phones can produce good quality images and sound, especially with decent lighting. While you won't achieve the same high-end look as with professional cameras and lenses, it can be a viable option for certain projects. If you want to learn how to get professional-looking results with your cell phone, including better sound recording, hire me and I will teach you.
Q: How can you make high-end videos for such a low price?
A: My combination of low overhead and massive experience allows me to offer very competitive rates. While I don't have a large inventory of lenses or lighting equipment, I excel in what I do with the gear I have and I know how to use creativity to overcome technical limitations.My skills span multiple roles including writer, producer, director, lighting technician, sound engineer, editor, designer, marketing/sales and teacher, all of which contribute to delivering high-quality results.For the time being, I'm only charging for labor.... I aim to compete with high end agencies and production companies, they have high overhead and high profits.
Q: How do I know what I'm paying for?
A: We will discuss and plan your project in advance to ensure a clear understanding and workable plan. We'll create a simple contract outlining costs and deliverables. Throughout the process, I will share updates and drafts to ensure you are happy with the progress, making adjustments as needed. My goal is to provide excellent service and ensure that you are a satisfied customer.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled date may incur a fee.
Q: Do you offer any packages or discounts?
A: No. My rate is already extremely low.... If you need a more flexible price, I will work with you, depending on how busy I am, and how interested I am in your specific job, I might do it for free.I haven't done much portrait work for example, and I want to.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: I accept PayPal, Zelle and Venmo, cash or check is possible but we we'll have to discuss that in advance. I won't accept checks from strangers. Payment details will be provided upon booking confirmation. A deposit will be required to secure your date.Full payment is expected immediately upon completion. For larger jobs I usually take payments in thirds of the total, first payment in advance,second payment after shooting, final payment after completion.
Q: Do you travel for shoots?
A: Yes, I am available for travel within the local area and beyond. Travel fees will apply depending on the distance. Please contact me to discuss your needs and obtain a travel quote.
Q: What is your turnaround time for delivering final videos or photos?
A: Turnaround time varies depending on the complexity of the project. Typically, you can expect to receive final videos within 2-4 weeks and photos within 1-2 weeks after the shoot. I always aim to deliver high-quality work as quickly as possible. Let me know if you need extra fast turn around and we'll do whatever it takes.
Q: Do you offer photo and video editing services?
A: Yes, I shoot, edit and make whole finished videos.Buying a day of shooting doesn't usually get you a finished edited video,I'll be spending hours or days editing to make a finished product.I shot and edited Every image and video on my website.Advanced compositing and retouching services are also available upon request.
